Learning Journey

All journeys benefit from a good start, which starts with preparing for class. When you register, you will get information that includes about 30 minutes of pre-work.  We set out together with a review of the Scrum Framework so we can have a common reference for when we explore more deeply.

As we explore the Scrum Roles and Responsibilities, we consider collective accountability on the unique role of the Product Owner for overall success. We search for the impact our organizational context has on the Product Owner.

We have traversed the role of the Product Owner together and are now ready to immerse ourselves and navigate the uncertainty we must face to succeed.  Together, we brainstorm ideas and choose the ones we like best, sometimes abandoning our own ideas.

Armed with our passions for these ideas, we set out to innovate around them, we form teams around the ideas. We remind ourselves that innovation means “ideas that are implemented.”

We seek to understand our customers and markets using helpful tools and techniques that help us create customer empathy. From this experience we are prepared to create a clear vision. This vision helps us create an early release opportunity and an initial Product Backlog.

As an awesome Product Owner you practice fluency in Product Backlog management by practicing techniques and collaborating with others on approaches to refining the Product Backlog Items. Your journey includes approaches that accommodate the knowable and unknowable things you navigate on a daily basis, asserting potential value and validating actual value

Your journey completes with approaches to ordering and prioritizing to maximize outcomes along with approaches to stakeholder communications and forecasting.

WIth this course, your learning journey may take the step into Scrum Product Owner certification. Our hope is that will serve you well on your larger journey.
